I don't like the boots that we have to wear while we march for many reasons. After marching for a few hours my feet ache because the soles don't support the arch of my foot. The leather gets really hot in the sun and the open design of the shoe allows rocks to get in. The ankle strap helps with protecting against injury, but it makes me less flexible.
